Who regulates banking and financial services in your jurisdiction?
The Office of the Superintendent of Banks and Other Financial Institutions ("Superintendent of Banks") has control and regulatory powers over the banks and financial institutions licensed under the Banking Law. The Office of the Superintendent of Securities ("Superintendent of Securities") supervises individuals and legal entities who regularly perform brokerage activities in securities traded on the primary or secondary markets within or outside the stock exchange.1
