March 2024: On 11 March 2024, the Head of Government published Circular n° 03/2024 concerning the implementation of the Moroccan Offer for the development of the green hydrogen sector. The Circular applies to all investors wishing to develop projects integrating the entire value chain of green hydrogen production, including the components of renewable energy, electrolysis production, storage, transport and logistics, whether these projects are intended for import or export.

2021: The Moroccan Ministry of Energy, Mines and Environment, under the National Hydrogen Commission, set out a roadmap on green hydrogen in 2021. The roadmap is based on three pillars: market and demand, technology facilitating cost reductions and local industrial integration, and measurable investment/financing.
