Note: The VAT rates on Greek islands Lesbos, Samos, Kos, Chios are reduced by 30%, i.e., the standard rate is 17% and the reduced rates are 9%, 4% and 3%. The reduction applies as long as there are immigration camps in these islands. The same reduction applies for the Greek islands of the Prefectures of Dodecanese, Evros and Northern Aegean, that have a population lower than 20.000, according to the last census. The reduction does not apply to means of transport and tobacco products.
