The process to register a Chinese branch usually takes 4 weeks. There is a requirement to appoint a Chief Representative (and 1 to 3 other Representatives may also be appointed according to the branch’s needs). There are no residency requirements. There is a requirement for the branch to have at least one bank account which should be opened after registration. The branch should also have its own office premises.
