Personal data may be transferred outside of Venezuela provided that the receiving jurisdiction provides a similar level of protection, the data subjects have been informed or have provided consent, and reasonable steps have been taken to safeguard the personal data to be transferred. In addition, the Safety and Confidentiality Principle prohibits the transfer of the contents of databases to other states that do not have rules that guarantee the protection of the individual’s personal data.
