Additionally, Law 2300 of 2023 established that data subjects must be given the right to choose the channel or channels to receive marketing communications. Advertisers and companies may only contact data subjects through the authorized channel, only once per day and only through one channel every week. Contacts may only occur on weekdays between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm and Saturdays between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. Companies must review the Registry of Excluded Numbers managed by the Communications Regulatory Commission to verify that consumers have not expressly unauthorized sending of advertising messages through any channel. If the data subject has unauthorized information being sent through any channel, companies must refrain from communicating advertising messages.
