The Personal Data Protection Law (“PDPL”) applies to (i) Egyptian parties residing inside or outside Egypt; (ii) non-Egyptian parties residing inside Egypt; and (iii) non-Egyptian parties outside Egypt that breach the PDPL if the act is punishable in the jurisdiction in which it occurred and the affected data subject is an Egyptian national or foreign national residing inside Egypt.
