The TSXV distinguishes smaller companies from larger companies, as well as industries, as set out in the initial listing requirements above.

The TSXV has recently launched the TSXV Passport System to fast-track the listing of eligible advanced applicants. Such issuers must meet the minimum listing requirements mentioned above and have working capital and financial resources of a minimum of C$500,000 (approximately US$377,300) and either (a) complete a minimum of C$10 million (approximately US$7.55 million) majority arm's length equity financing in connection with the listing application; or (b) have a market capitalization of at least C$50 million (approximately US$37.73 million) at the time of listing, and meet certain thresholds of revenue and arm's length equity financing. An applicant cannot be an emerging market issuer but may be an "excluded resource issuer". The applicant must provide a pre-file letter with detailed analysis evidencing its ability to meet the eligibility criteria and must arrange a pre-filing conference with the TSXV. Applicants under the TSXV Passport System must also provide the same listing documents as for regular listing applications and will be subject to standard listing fees.
